How do you make your decisions?

How do you make your decisions? Do you just believe what you hear and go with the flow or do you explore and learn as much as you can about something and then form an opinion on what you have come up with? Or do you have a hard time deciding because both sides make sense and you have too many questions before you are willing to make an informed opinion. Or do you not have an opinion because you "really don't give a rats ass" about the subject at hand?

I find that I generally try to learn as much about something as I can in order to make a formed opinion, when it comes to things I'm actually interested in, such as true crime stories and court cases, current events, news, gossip and politics. I think being informed is a must for important decisions such as who is going to run our country or what type of furnace you are going to buy for your home.

Sometimes though, I really "don't give a rats ass"....probably part of that is that I don't know a lot on the subject...but out of curiosity, I'll still try to get both sides of the stories and figure out what I think is right. But usually I feel like my time is being wasted on something stupid so I go back to focusing on the important stuff(importance is relative...I think the state of our world and child abuse are extremely important and someone else may think the most important decision they have is what to wear to prom or why their 2 other friends are fighting. An older person may find the most important issue social security or retirement benefits and the ridiculously high cost of prescription medications for the elderly. It's robbery, plain and simple.

The more variety of answers given, the better for me to learn what makes people tick. Knowing what makes people tick is something important to me! Because while we all are joined, we are also all separate. The differences are what makes us unique and what makes people the most complex of all to understand. So tell me this......how do you make your decisions? are they based on how your parents brought you up to feel, or by experiencing something, or checking facts logically and going from there? What it is important for you to be knowledgeable about? Kids? swimming? car engines? the military? your pension? which barbie you want for christmas?

BRING IT ON!!!
